Children's treasure hunt through Woudrichem

New for children visiting Woudrichem: an interactive walking and scavenger hunt through the historic fortified town. Scan the QR codes on the signs and walk through the entire fortified town.

Beware of crossing gnomes! This is what small and large hikers on the Kabouterroute in the Almbos have recently been warned about in a playful way. On their own initiative, some employees of the field service of the municipality of Altena made two special warning signs and placed them at the route.

5 years of Altena

The municipality of Altena is celebrating its 5th anniversary. To celebrate, every resident will receive a guide with 5 new walking and cycling routes in the mailbox on Thursday, March 21, delivered door-to-door with the Altena News on behalf of the municipality.

Boating with the wind in your hair and the sun in your face is something to look forward to this summer. With the wetlands of the Biesbosch and Altena, the Biesboschlinie is a wonderful area for recreational boating. VVV Biesboschlinie launches this month the canoe/kayak guide with 7 routes in the municipality of Altena and a new junction system through the Biesbosch.
