Discover the history of fortified Woudrichem during the interactive QRfgoed children's walk. Scan the QR codes and let 'Mayor Peer Verhagen' take you back to the Woudrichem of old. He tells you all about this medieval town in which water and fishing played a major role.
At the Biesbosch MuseumEiland in Werkendam you can go on an adventurous treasure hunt and play with the tides in the outdoor area. Or book a boat tour with them and let them search for beaver tracks. Get a breath of fresh air, run around or have a picnic in the outdoor museum.
De Pannekoekenbakker is quite an experience in itself! Enjoy, on a boat overlooking the Meuse, more than 200 (!) different pancakes. Children can choose for example a princess or pirate pancake. Afterwards they can use their tokens to pick out a present in the gourmet store. Happy faces guaranteed!
Kinderboerderij Floreffehoeve in Werkendam is good for a whole afternoon of fun. Cuddle the animals and have fun in the playground with bikes, go-karts and scooters. Relax with a bag of chips or an ice cream, and on you go! For (grand)dad and (grand)mom there are benches to relax with a cup of coffee or tea.
At Slot Loevestein you dive into the world of knights and damsels. Escape from Hugo de Groot's book chest, dress up as a noblewoman or knight and puzzle out the correct formula for making gunpowder. Slot Loevestein is part of the fortified town triangle. All locations in the fortified town triangle are connected by water. From Woudrichem you sail with the foot ferry to Loevestein. An adventure before your adventure has begun!
Climbing and clambering is possible in Klimpark Biesbosch. With 7 courses and 75 obstacles you can be active in nature, on the edge of the Biesbosch. Secured and well, you choose the route that suits your level. There is also more than 400 meters of zipline with a special children's zipline course.
Come swim in the subtropical swimming paradise of De Kurenpolder in Hank! Whiz down the slide and through the rapids, relax on the drink bench and in the jacuzzi. Every Friday there is disco swimming and the music and lights go on. Swam out? Outside you will find play equipment, trampolines, table tennis tables and you can stunt in the skate park. When the weather is nice, you can also swim outside in natural water.
From April Kasteel Dussen is open every Sunday to visit on your own or a guided tour (book in advance). There are also regular events. In the agenda of Kasteel Dussen you will find an overview of all activities.
At service cinema Hollywoud, refreshments are brought to your seat so you don't have to miss anything from the movie. Whether you are in the mood for freshly popped popcorn, coffee and cake or a bitter garnish, press the button and you will be at your beck and call in Almkerk.
From the Biesboschlinie, the Efteling is easily accessible. Depending on the starting point, you can be in Kaatsheuvel in as little as 20 minutes. Walk with your little one through the Fairytale Forest, dream away in the Droomvlucht or go on the super-fast roller coaster Max & Mortiz for the older kids.
Tie the laces, shake the muscles loose, take a deep breath, shoulders straight, chin up and ... scavenge away! This scavenger hunt runs for 1.5 hours and is super fun to do with kids. Ask someone on the street for help if you don't know an answer. Maybe you'll hear an exciting story from a real Woerkumer!

Tip: Inside the fortified town is the Fisheries Museum. Nice to take a look there. Children can make their own jump rope there.
Fancy an active day out on the water? Rent a canoe and explore the Biesbosch. Let children search for beavers and beaver tracks. Then dock at one of the beaches and moorings to enjoy a picnic.
Search the Almbos in Giessen for the gnome children's wooden shoes. Near the clogs you will find tasks involving running, climbing, searching and guessing. Nice and active and in the open air.

Explore Biesbosch MuseumEiland through ten hotspots in an interactive way. Virtual guides Maas and Liam take you through the museum and show you how people used to work. From cane cutting to building a sinker. Afterwards, take the quiz to see what you learned.
You can do the tour with your own phone. If you don't have one, you can borrow an iPad.
In the countryside between Babyloniënbroek and Waardhuizen you will find the Pompveld with a new educational park for children. Clamber over the stones, pump the water, test your balance on a tree trunk and build the most beautiful huts with branches. Of course, bring your landing net and discover what lives in the water. Tip: remember to bring dry clothes.
Restaurants and lunch spots abound in the Biesbosch Line. Of course, we already mentioned De Pannekoekenbakker. What is also very nice is Brasserie de Laegt. There children can play in the playground, playroom and even at the petting zoo. At Bistro de Heerlijckheid there is also a small playground.
Parents and children are exhausted and fulfilled after a day at Biesbosch Line. Sleep literally ón the Biesbosch water in a AquaHome (children find this super fun, of course!). Prefer the mainland? Then camp at farm campsite De Speeltol where children can have fun in the on-site nature playground. Or camp in a hiker's hut in the middle of the Biesbosch. When the sun goes down, the beavers show themselves among the reeds in search of food and tree roots. If it's clear, you can see a huge starry sky.
