October 26, 2024 is Boot Day in the national parks of the Netherlands. Put on your boots and jump into the water world of our most beautiful nature reserves. With many different activities you will discover how we deal with water in the national parks. Is there too little water, or just too much? And how clean is the water really?
Did you know that all the national parks in the Netherlands together tell the story of "Dutch nature"? Each park represents a unique landscape with accompanying history and interplay between man and nature. But no matter how diverse the parks are: water flows everywhere. Especially in the Biesbosch.
The Biesbosch MuseumEiland has put together a special program for the Boot Day:
14.00 - 16.00: Walk Pancake / Boot Trail, theme Climate Adaptation / Biodiversity (cost € 7.50 - booking is required, please do so below)
3 p.m.: Boot stomping contest children 4 to 12 years (Who stamps the hardest and makes the most splashes)
16.00 - 16.45: Performance Jeroen Kant in Museum Cafe Biesonder.
